The first ingredient, Coconut Oil, is a special fat known as a medium chain triglyceride which are characterized by the number of carbons in the fatty acid’s backbone. The 12 to 14 carbons which are characteristic of all medium chain fatty acid’s bestows Coconut Oil with some unusual physical and chemical properties not possessed by other oils — chiefly among them, it not only doesn’t cause pimples, or cystic acne of any kind — but in fact prevents them by several mechanisms.
